ERAU Department of Aviation Maintenance Science Adds Five New Female Instructors

As more women enter the Aviation Maintenance industry, demographics that have historically reflected a mostly male workforce, are changing. ERAU plans to help to diversify the industry and has just added five new female instructors to its faculty. “Those faculty members bring an incredible wealth of knowledge to the department and our students,” said R. flyGATEWAY Aviation Institute Places Order for 20 Piper Pilot 100i

Will Begin Taking Delivery Of Their First Fourteen Aircraft In January Of 2022

Piper Aircraft has announced an order for twenty (20) Pilot 100i single-engine trainers from Pennsylvania and Delaware based flyGATEWAY Aviation Institute. The order was received on the third day of EAA AirVenture 2021. flyGATEWAY, a Liberty University Flight Training Affiliate, will begin taking delivery of their first fourteen aircraft in January of 2022. The remaining six (6) aircraft will be delivered later in 2022. The aircraft will be spread across flyGATEWAY’s four locations and will support their Part 141 career pilot training program.

NTSB Prelim: Piper J3C-65

He Remembered About One To Two Seconds Of The Spin And Had No Further Recollection Of The Accident

On July 31, 2021, about 1130 central daylight time, a Piper J3C-65 airplane, N42522, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Hartford, Wisconsin. The flight instructor was fatally injured and the pilot receiving instruction was seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 instructional flight. The pilot receiving instruction reported that they had been practicing touch-and-go takeoffs and landings from runway 27 at the Hartford Municipal Airport (HXF) and had performed about 10 before the accident occurred.
