The Pilot 100i enters the trainer segment at a price point of $298,900 IFR equipped and offers the same durability and functionality as its stablemate, the Archer TX. “This milestone certification represents a continuation of Piper’s strategy to provide competitively priced products for our global customers. The Agency Is Working With Employees To Ensure They Can Report All Concerns 

According to a letter sent by the FAA to Boeing, they will be investigating whether employees who should be following up on safety problems with the aircraft are being told to keep quiet. "Boeing's company culture appears to hamper members of the [safety oversight] unit from communicating openly with the FAA," said the letter from the agency. The letter was first reported by the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday. "We take these matters with the utmost seriousness, and are continuously working to improve the processes we have in place to ensure the independence of the [safety oversight] unit members," the company said in its statement.

Gwynne Shotwell, President, SpaceX, said the company was running low on liquid oxygen for launching their rockets. Shotwell said that liquid oxygen shortages were presenting the company with challenges, and that people should email her if they have any extra. "We're actually going to be impacted this year with the lack of liquid oxygen for launch," Shotwell said during a Space Symposium panel.

HyPoint Set To Begin Development Of Hydrogen Fuel Cell Systems

A $6.5 million dollar deal has been made between HyPoint and Piasecki Aircraft. HyPoint will begin development of hydrogen fuel cell systems for the PA-890 aircraft, which according to the companies, will be the first crewed helicopter to be powered by hydrogen. Piasecki has been working with HyPoint since March of this year, but the processes have now been formalized into a “multi-phase collaborative development agreement” that will finish with the creation of five 650-kilowatt hydrogen fuel cell systems to use in the PA-890 compound helicopter.

On August 9, 2021, about 1800 central daylight time, a Pulsar Sport 150 airplane, N997EM, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Osceola, Wisconsin. The pilot received serious injuries. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The initial report indicate that the pilot was in the traffic pattern at the L O Simenstad Municipal Airport (OEO), Osceola, Wisconsin, when the airplane’s engine lost power. The pilot selected a field, located about a quarter mile south of the airport, for the forced landing.

It does not delete speed restrictions in published procedures of upcoming segments of flight.
