The Allied Pilots Association (APA), representing the 15,000 pilots of American Airlines, issued the following statement regarding the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 that President Biden signed into law this afternoon. “We are deeply grateful to President Biden and Congress for the much-needed support the legislation provides to our nation’s airline industry,” said Capt. Eric Ferguson, President of the Allied Pilots Association. “Preserving critical infrastructure will help our economy recover more quickly as the pandemic subsides.”
