The U.S. Air Force Air Combat Command F-16 Viper Demonstration Team will be performing at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2021, scheduled for July 26-August 1. The Viper Demo Team will perform demonstrations as part of the daily air shows during AirVenture, as well as participate in the Air Force Heritage Flight program. Maj. Garret Schmitz is the Viper Demo Team pilot for the 2021 season. "The Viper Demo Team is always a popular attraction at air shows across the country and we’re very excited to welcome it back to Oshkosh this summer as we continue to plan for a full AirVenture event in late July," said Dennis Dunbar, director of AirVenture air show operations.

The FAA attributes this drop to registrations to reaching the end of their three-year expiration date, though dissatisfaction with the current processes and a number of anti-model aviation decisions may also have an impact on this issue.

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for Leonardo S.p.a. (Leonardo) Model AW189 helicopters. This AD was prompted by two reported failures of the tail plane installation forward bolts (bolts). This AD requires inspecting the bolts and depending on the results of those inspections, removing certain parts from service or installing a tail plane retromod. This AD also requires torqueing certain part-numbered nuts, inspecting bolts and nuts for wear, and depending on the results of those inspections, removing parts from service. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective April 21, 2021.<
