Tradewind Aviation—the American charter airline and aircraft management provider headquartered at Connecticut’s Waterbury-Oxford Airport (OCX)—accepted delivery of its first Pilatus PC-12 NGX during a ceremonial handover at Pilatus’s U.S. subsidiary in Broomfield, Colorado. The event occasioned the first of twenty PC-12 NGX deliveries Pilatus will make to Tradewind over the next five years.

Aero Linx: The Howard Aircraft Foundation (HAF) The Howard Aircraft Foundation (HAF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation dedicated to the preservation and support of the airplanes inspired in the 1930's by the vision of Ben O. Howard. Without support, these airplanes could not survive into perpetuity. Through donations from members, the HAF purchased all five of the FAA Type Certificates for the different Howard aircraft models. We are the self appointed entity responsible for preserving the history of these airplanes as well as ensuring that current owners of the surviving airplanes are provided with any technical information necessary to keep them safely flying. Line Up And Wait (LUAW) Used by ATC to inform a pilot to taxi onto the departure runway to line up and wait. It is not authorization for takeoff. It is used when takeoff clearance cannot immediately be issued because of traffic or other reasons.
