The private pilot and passenger were seriously injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91 personal flight. Preliminary Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) data revealed that the airplane departed Montgomery County Airpark (GAI), Gaithersburg, Maryland, on the morning of the accident and flew to Westchester County Airport (HPN), White Plains, New York.
