First Step In Airline’s Fleet Renewal Program
Icelandair announced it has taken delivery of its first Airbus aircraft, the A321LR, which signals the start of its fleet renewal program and makes it the newest Airbus operator. The aircraft is the first of four to be leased from SMBC Aviation Capital Limited, and the airline will also be getting 13 A321XLRs. Icelandair’s A321LR is configured with 187 seats in two classes – 22 Business class and 165 Economy class seats. The cabin features XL bins that provide 65% for stowage space compared to previous aircraft so boarding is more relaxed for both passengers and cabin crew.
