Due to the continuous increase in mysterious drone sightings, the Federal Aviation Administration has published 22 Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) across New Jersey. Violations are subject to a wide variety of Government punishment, including ‘deadly force’ if necessary. The swarm of TFRs began on November 25.

Pilot’s Failure To Maintain Control Of The Airplane In Gusty Wind Conditions While Flying Low Over Water

Analysis: At the conclusion of the sightseeing and bird watching flight, the pilot reported he was flying low in preparation for a water landing in gusty wind conditions. While flying about 6 ft over the water surface, a wind gust subsided, and the airplane sank and began to stall. The front of the floats then impacted a small wave, resulting in the airplane nosing over into the water. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage and the right wing.

“Having closely examined the technical data and tips from concerned citizens, we assess that the sightings to date include a combination of lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, and law enforcement drones, as well as manned fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, and stars mistakenly reported as drones. We have not identified anything anomalous and do not assess the activity to date to present a national security or public safety risk over the civilian airspace in New Jersey or other states in the northeast.” Source: From a joint statement by the FAA, DHS, FBI, and DOD, in regards to recent drone sightings in the NorthEast that are yet to be fully explained.
