EAA Expresses Concern Over New Piper AD

Directives to Expand Wing Spar Inspections on PA-28 and PA-32 Models

The EAA recently submitted comments to the FAA regarding its recent airworthiness directive (AD) pitches for the Piper PA-28 and PA-32. Egnatia Aviation Buys 12 Elixir Aircraft And 3 Options

Flight School Trains Pilots For Airlines Globally

Elixir Aircraft announced it has signed a contract with Greek flight training school Egnatia Aviation to provide 12 Elixir aircraft plus an option for 3 more. The school has trained pilots since 2006 and that now fly for more than 60 airlines around the world. The signing took place at the European Airline Training Symposium (EATS) in Cascais, Portugal. Beginning in early 2025, the aircraft will be delivered in two batches of six and will be based at the Kavala-Amigdaleon “Lydia” Aerodrome (ICAO: LGKM) in Greece.

NTSB Prelim: Cessna 150F

A Convective SIGMET Was Valid For The Area Surrounding The Accident Site

On October 31, 2024, about 1837 central daylight time, a Cessna 150F airplane, N8110S, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Wilder, Tennessee. The student pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. Initial Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) track data revealed that the accident airplane departed from runway 26 at Cross Memorial Airport – Whitson Field (CSV), Crossville, Tennessee about 1817. Sunset had occurred at 1744 and the end of civil twilight was at 1811.
