Mother and Daughter Taken to Hospital for Minor Injuries
A US Navy parachutist from the Leap Frogs team accidentally crash-landed into the Fleet Week airshow crowd on October 13. A mother and daughter took the brunt of the impact and were taken to a local hospital for evaluation. The incident was a not-so-great ending to an otherwise impressive airshow.
Technology To Be Installed on the US Army’s UH-60M Helicopter
Sikorsky, a helicopter manufacturer under Lockheed Martin, recently received a $6 million grant from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). This grant funds the company’s integration of its MATRIX flight autonomy system with the US Army’s UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter.
