Federal Judge Denies Restraining Order On SpaceX Launches

Texas Environmental Group ‘Save RGV’ Claimed Violation Of Clean Water Act

Judge Rolando Olvera, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Texas, ruled against the Rio Grande Valley-based environmental group Save RGV’s request for a restraining order against SpaceX to block launches from its Boca Chica Starbase launch site. Save RGV claimed in its October lawsuit that SpaceX was violating the Clean Water Act by releasing wastewater at Boca Chica Beach from the company’s launch site deluge system. SpaceX said it uses potable water in its deluge system, which applies copious amounts of water to the rocket engines and launch pad area to absorb heat, prevent explosions, and reduce the dispersal of dust and debris gen

Official Wants To Know Why, Or See Progress On FAA-Approved Facility

A new aviation maintenance training facility was approved for Pierpont Community and Technical College and $25 million was allocated for its construction in August 2023, but not one shovel of dirt has been turned yet and Tracy Miller wants to know why. Tracy Miller is President of the Mid-Atlantic Aerospace Complex (MAAC), located at the North Central West Virginia Airport (KCKB) in Clarksburg. That is where the new, FAA-approved and certified hangar for the Pierpont maintenance training program is also to be built.

Russia Intercepts US B-52s Over Baltic Sea

Bombers Were Conducting Joint Training With Finland

Two of the US military’s B-52H Stratofortress bombers were intercepted by a pair of Russian SU-27 fighters over the Baltic Sea on November 25. The bombers were reportedly conducting a training exercise with forces from NATO ally Finland. The recent fighter intercept came only four days after Russia launched a hypersonic, intermediate-range missile at Ukraine.

Paragon Flight Training Receives Piper Pilot 100i SN 200

Expands Order To World’s Largest Pilot 100i Fleet By 2027

Paragon Flight Training in Fort Myers, Florida, has taken delivery of SN 200, the 200th Piper Pilot 100i built by Piper Aircraft and now has over thirty Pilot 100i and one Seminole. The school began receiving deliveries of the aircraft in 2022 that included SN 100. Paragon recently finalized another order for additional Pilot 100i and Seminole aircraft to put Paragon on a path to become the world's largest Pilot 100i fleet by 2027.

Fuel Leak Due To Damaged Threads On A Fuel Line Fitting

Analysis: The pilot detected the odor of fuel in the cockpit shortly after taking off. He turned the fuel boost pump off to alleviate the fuel smell. The fuel smell remained, and the engine surged and lost power. The pilot turned the fuel pump back on and switched fuel tanks to restart the engine. The engine did not restart so he performed a forced landing to a highway. The airplane hit a sign and the landing gear collapsed during the landing, resulting in substantial damage to both wings.

Man Exhibited Signs Of Stroke 50 Miles Off Oahu

A man experiencing symptoms of a stroke was medevaced from the cruise ship Zaandam about 50 miles off the coast of Oahu on November 26. Watchstanders at the Joint Rescue Coordination Center Honolulu received a notification from the senior doctor on board the Zaandam, about 330 miles northeast of Oahu, who requested a medevac for a 32-year-old man experiencing symptoms of a stroke.
