Company’s Subsidiaries On Verge Of Insolvency Despite Order Book

In a move that seemed to come out of left field, German startup air taxi manufacturer Lilium announced it is on the verge of insolvency and has ceased operations.  On October 24, 2024, Lilium N.V. submitted a Form 6-K filing to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission stating that the managing directors of its two operating subsidiaries, Lilium GmbH and Lilium eAircraft GmbH, determined that they are overindebted and will be unable to pay existing liabilities within the next few days.

Service Centers Utilizing AeroMech’s STC For King Air And Citation Models

Textron Aviation announced at the NBAA-BACE that its Service Centers for Beechcraft King Air B200/300 and Cessna Citation 560XL series aircraft will provide installations of Starlink high-speed satellite internet. The announcement came after the FAA approved a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for AeroMech’s to install the internet connectivity solution which utilizes Starlink’s constellation of Low-Earth-Orbit satellites. NTSB Prelim: Taylor J-2

The Airplane Struck The Top Of A Tree Located To The Right Of The Runway

On October 3, 2024, about 1130 Pacific daylight time, a Taylor J-2 airplane, N19252, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Roseburg, Oregon. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. According to witnesses located at the George Felt Airport (5S1), Roseburg, Oregon, they first observed the airplane climbing out from following an approach to runway 10. The airplane remained within the traffic pattern for the same runway.
