Timber Tiger’s Speedster has flown and is producing solid data necessary to get the bird into production later this year. Wing root fairings are due for some modification to allow for better airflow but other than that, the rest of the airplane seems to be acquitting itself well. Timber Tiger Aircraft will shortly begin the manufacturing phase of its Speedster. As Promised, Musk Sues California To Block Regulation Of Launches

Trying To Prevent Coastal Commission From Reducing Flights

Elon Musk followed through on his threat and sued the California Coastal Commission after it rejected a proposal that would have increased the number of Falcon 9 launches at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The increase in launches are intended to deploy more Starlink satellites for public internet service as well as Starshield satellites for the U.S. national security internet system. In August a bipartisan group of members of Congress sent a letter to the Commission in support of the proposal.

Textron Proposes New Contract to Striking Machinists

Three weeks ago, Textron Aviation presented its “best and final” offer to its striking machinists and was rejected. Now, the manufacturer has returned to the table with a better and final-er contract proposal which is on the cusp of ratification. The previous deal included a 26% general wage increase over four years. The previous deal included a 26% general wage increase over four years. Pilot Stated That The Engine RPM Went To Zero As Soon As He Rolled Off The Throttle To Start The Autorotation

On October 2, 2024, about 1840, mountain daylight time, a Schweizer 296C helicopter, N656RB, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Montrose, Colorado. The pilot and passenger sustained minor injuries. The helicopter was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot stated that during an autorotation demonstration, the helicopter had a complete loss of engine power.
