In a move that seemed to come out of left field, Lilium announced it is on the verge of insolvency and has ceased operations. On October 24, Lilium N.V. submitted a Form 6-K filing to the SEC stating that the managing directors of its two operating subsidiaries, Lilium GmbH and Lilium eAircraft GmbH, determined that they are overindebted and will be unable to pay existing liabilities within the next few days. Gulfstream Receives STC For Starlink Installations

Satellite Connectivity Now Available On G650 And G650ER Models

Gulfstream Aerospace announced it has received FAA Supplemental Type Certification (STC) to install the Starlink high-speed satellite internet system onboard its G650 and G650ER model business jets. The STC approval lets customers work directly with Gulfstream rather than third-party installers to upgrade their connectivity. Starlink provides passengers with a variety of inflight, simultaneous capabilities such as video calls, streaming services, internet access, data transfer, and cloud-based services. The latency of Starlink is less than 99 milliseconds with download speeds of 40-220 Mbps.

TRU Full Flight Simulator Delivered To Queensland’s Medical Service

Royal Flying Doctor Service Receives Level D Certification

Textron affiliate TRU Simulation + Training announced that Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) has approved Level D certification of the Full Flight Simulator (FFS) to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS Queensland Section). The RFDS Queensland Section has a large Beechcraft King Air fleet and the simulator is reconfigurable to support training for the entire fleet of its B200 and B300 aircraft. The simulator is the first of its kind in Australia and is housed in Bundaberg in a purpose-built facility next to the RFDS base.

NTSB Prelim: Beech C99

Airplane Departed From Runway 20 And Climbed Away From The Ground. The Airplane Then Entered A Left Bank Turn, Descended, And Impacted Terrain

On October 7, 2024, about 1939 central daylight time (CDT), a Beech C99 airplane, N130GP, was destroyed when it was involved in an accident near Norfolk, Nebraska. The pilot was fatally injured. The airplane was operated under the provisions of Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 135 as on-demand cargo flight. The flight arrived at the Norfolk Regional Airport about 1907 CDT to take on additional cargo before flying to Omaha, Nebraska. Airport surveillance video captured the airplane as it departed the airport.
