Accelergy Corporation announced a strategic partnership with the
Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC) Tuesday at the
University of North Dakota. Under the terms of the agreement,
Accelergy will license EERC’s proprietary technology as part
of its Coal Biomass to Liquids (CBTL) process.
Live Uncompressed HD Video Feeds Beamed From Airplane Cameras
Over 60 Miles Away
The U.S. Air Force has successfully tested a system that allows
air-to-ground HD video transmission from aircraft more than 60
miles away. The flight tests were conducted as part of the Enhanced
Air-to-Ground Lasercom System (EAGLS) Program.
Testing Will Show If Pilots Can Control UAV's From Their
Cockpits
Developmental prototypes of the U.S. Army's next-generation
Block III Apache Attack helicopter tested emerging technologies
which allow pilots to control UAVs and their sensor payloads from
the cockpit of the aircraft during a so-called Limited User Test
(LUT) in November at Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ.
U.S. Air Force aircraft will parachute more than 20 tons of
donated items to Pacific Islanders throughout Micronesia during the
58th annual “Operation Christmas Drop” December 16-19.
Operation Christmas Drop is the longest running organized air drop
in the world and one of the largest charity efforts in the
Pacific.
