NBAA is in continuing contact with officials from the Department of Homeland Security and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and it is the Association's understanding that last week's events are not anticipated to have an impact on security policies related to the business aviation community.

Israel Aerospace Industries' Bedek Aviation Group (IAI/Bedek) received a Civil Aviation Administration of Israel (CAAI) Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) on December 17, 2009 and an FAA STC on December 21, 2009 for its prototype B767-300BDSF (Bedek Special Freighter) aircraft.

T'is the season... as ALPA tells us that Alaska Airlines’ furloughed pilots recently received a holiday gift from their fellow pilots in the form of a check. In a little more than a month, Alaska Airlines’ pilots—joined by some of Alaska Airlines’ crew schedulers and planners and management—contributed $24,000 to the Furloughed Pilots Christmas Fund, the brainchild of Alaska First Officers Will McQuillen and Nate Chilman, who both were furloughed from a different carrier prior to coming to work at Alaska.
