U.S. Air Force Wants Stealthier Unmanned Systems For
Surveillance, Combat
The U.S. military is increasingly relying on unmanned aerial
systems for surveillance and combat, but with increasing concerns
about the need to gather intelligence in more contested airspace,
the Pentagon says it needs more technically advanced UAVs.
First Comprehensive Listing Of Aircraft Numbers Over The Last
60 Years
Dr. Rebecca Grant, Director of the Mitchell Institute for
Airpower Studies, recently announced the publication of a Mitchell
study, "Downsizing USAF: A 60-Year Analysis of Air Force Aircraft
Inventory." A database of the full aircraft inventory of the Air
Force will be released for the first time next week.
