Hand-Off To Lessor Avolon Completed In France
Malaysia Airlines received the first of its 20 factory-new Airbus A330neo aircraft when it was handed over to lessor Avolon in Toulouse, France, then flown from Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) to Kuala Lumpa Airport (KUL), arriving on November 29, 2024. The A330neo arrived at the airport accompanied by a Sukhoi-30MKM aircraft of the Malaysian Air Force, according to bystanders. Avolon will lease a total of 20 A330neos to Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the airline’s parent company, in a deal announced in 2022.
