Vulcanair Aircraft to Integrate Jet Fuel Piston Engines

DeltaHawk and Vulcanair announced in a joint press conference at EAA AirVenture 2024 they have entered into a collaborative relationship to develop FAA- and EASA-certified installation of the innovative, FAA-certified DHK jet fuel piston engines into Vulcan’s line of general aviation aircraft. The agreement has been executed and the two companies have begun exchanging engineering data and technical resources to begin integrating the DeltaHawk engine into Vulcanair’s V-1 aircraft in the initial phase, with future phases involving the P.68 and A-Viator aircraft.

Aspen Avionics and Electronics International (EI) announced they formed a partnership to incorporate engine monitoring capabilites into Aspen’s Evolution MFD500 MAX and MFD1000 MAX Multi-function displays. The upgraded system will replace legacy instrument hardware with engine information comparable to modern installed EFIS systems. The features are in development and involve integrating EI’s sensors and engine data converter with the software to run the display functions while removing the installed/original RPM, oil temp/press, manifold temp, EGT/CHT, fuel level/press, volt/amp, and TIT gauges. A 28-year-old man residing in Concord, California, is out on bail after being arrested in connection with an attempted theft of multiple airplanes from the Buchanan Field Airport (KCCR). Police have charged the man with six felonies including attempted grand theft and attempted fraud. The Left Wheel Departed From The Left Strut. The Airplane Began Sliding On The Turf And Nosed Over

Analysis: The flight instructor and the pilot, who was also the builder of the airplane, were practicing soft field landings with the tailwheel-equipped experimental airplane. They performed two threepoint landings to the dry turf without incident. During touchdown on the third landing, with the pilot on the flight controls, the left wheel departed from the left strut. The airplane began sliding on the turf and nosed over, coming to rest inverted. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the fuselage, both wings, and the empennage.

We are an international group of more than 1700 pilots who have acted as a certificated PIC on or after our 80th birthday. The UFO was "born" on November 2, 1982, in Las Vegas, NV. There, a group of senior pilots who mutually shared a love of aviation, set about to form a tax-exempt organization that would attract other 80-year-olds to join their quest. They adopted a charter, elected officers, and determined to meet regularly in order to share stories (exaggerations?) of their piloting expertise and enjoy each other's company.
