EAA's 2020 Annual Meeting to Be Held Online

Will Take Place Wednesday, July 22, from 0830 to 0930 CDT via YouTube

The virtual world continues to be seen more and more in the aviation community. In the most recent update, the 2020 EAA Annual Membership Meeting will take place Wednesday, July 22, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. CDT via YouTube Live. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the meeting will be virtual, which will facilitate broader access to the meeting. It will be broadcast from the Founders’ Wing and not open to attendance in person. AD: XtremeAir GmbH Airplanes

AD 2020-13-03 Applies To Cracking Of The Diagonal Struts Of The Engine Mount Frame

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2018-07-15 for certain XtremeAir GmbH Model XA42 airplanes. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as cracking of the diagonal struts of the engine mount frame with potential detachment of the engine from the airplane. The FAA is issuing this AD to require actions to address the unsafe condition on these products. This AD is effective July 15, 2020.
