Kodiak 100 Aircraft Safeguarding Lives in Idaho’s Backcountry

Daher—the French industrial conglomerate and parent company of general aviation aircraft marques TBM, Kodiak, and SOCATA—has demonstrated its support of such remote sites by facilitating the delivery of critical care defibrillators across the state of Idaho using the company’s Kodiak 100 aircraft.
A drone operating in close proximity to the 150-acre Barth Fire in east-south-central Texas’s Caldwell County inadvertently neared to within feet of a helicopter engaged in fighting the blaze. The 18 August incident raised renewed awareness of the hazards posed by unauthorized drones to both aviation resources and firefighters on the ground.
