Spaceport Nova Scotia Signifies Intent to Compete in Satellite Delivon the World Stage
Canada will soon throw its hat into the space launch ring, making use of its expansive territory and technical capabilities to go toe-to-toe with rocket service providers in the US and Europe. Transport Minister Omar Alghabra announced that the federal government will begin developing the regulations, safety standards, and licensing conditions needed to begin authorizing Canadian satellite launches. If all goes well, the country could see its first commercial launches taking place in the next 3 years.
