Based in the southern Australian city of Adelaide, Alauda Aeronautics is a manufacturing and technology concern pursuing a unique and intriguing syncretism of aerospace and motorsports. The company was instrumental in the conception and creation of the EXA Racing Series—an electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) flying-car racing series in which manned, electric-powered multicopters compete in a synthesis of Urban Air Mobility (UAM) and motorsport. King Air 260 Selected for Navy Trainer

Newest King Air 260 Replaces Fleet of Vintage King Air 90s

Textron Aviation has been awarded the Multi-Engine Training System (METS) contract by Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), making the King Air 260 the aircraft of choice for future student pilots. The contract award will provide up to 64 King Air 260s, designated the T-54A in Navy service. The initial Lot I award will procure 10 new commercial-spec Beechcraft King Air 260s with their associated support. Lots II and III, should they be exercised, would add another 27 aircraft apiece. Deliveries are planned from 2024 to 2026.

On 19 February 2023, EHang, the Chinese developer and manufacturer of Autonomous Aerial Vehicles (AAV), announced its EH216 AAV had completed a fully-autonomous—which is to say pilotless—flight carrying two intrepid passengers. Subject flight was conducted along Oita, Japan’s Tanoura Beach under approval granted by Japan’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT).

Engine Had A Low Manifold Pressure Reading And Then The Engine Sustained A Total Loss Of Power

On February 12, 2023, about 0958 central standard time, a Mooney Aircraft Corporation M20K Encore airplane, N304MA, sustained substantial damage when it was involved in an accident near Lakeway, Texas. The pilot sustained no injury.
