The Alaska Department of Public Safety has purchased an AS350 B3e to support operations of the Alaska Wildlife Troopers and State Troopers. The new AS350 B3e will be based in Fairbanks, Alaska, bringing enhanced capabilities to the agency’s existing helicopter fleet, which also includes an AS350 B3.

VistaJet Places Firm Order For 56 New Bombardier Global Jets, with Options for 86 More
In what is being called the largest single transaction in the history of business aviation, luxury transportation company VistaJet has placed a firm order for 56 new Bombardier Global aircraft, with 86 further options. The deal has a value of more than $7.8 billion at list prices. First deliveries of this order are expected in 2014.

Cessna has entered into a joint venture contract with China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Company Ltd., (CAIGA) through CAIGA North China Aircraft Industry Co, in accordance with their previously announced strategic agreement, for the formation of a joint venture company to conduct final assembly of Cessna Caravan utility turboprop aircraft in China for the Chinese market.

Piper Aircraft has named Piper Summit Aircraft China, Beijing, as the aircraft manufacturer's authorized dealer in China for sales of new Meridian single-engine turboprop aircraft. The new Piper dealer conducted a number of Meridian demonstrations for potential customers as the airplane flew to Zhuhai this month for display at Air Show China 2012.
