FAA Proposes New Policy On Antidepressants For Pilots

Will Evaluate Conditions On A Case-By-Case Basis

The FAA today announced that it will consider the special issuance of a medical certificate to pilots who are taking medication for mild to moderate depression, conditions that now bar them from all flying duties.

Flights Document Midwest States' Critical Infrastructure Concerns

Civil Air Patrol aircraft and personnel from seven Midwest states have returned home after providing nearly 360 hours of flight time supporting disaster relief efforts in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.

Used by pilots to inform ATC that previously issued traffic is not in sight. It may be followed by the pilot's request for the controller to provide assistance in avoiding the traffic, orthey were unable to contact ATC on a particular frequency.
