Jeppesen Teams With Wingly To Support General Aviation Flight Sharing

Will Offer Discounted VFR Coverage For Pilots Sharing Flights Through The App

Jeppesen has teamed with Wingly, a leading UK-based flight sharing organization, to encourage the connection of private pilots and passengers interested in sharing the costs and benefits of general aviation flight.

“Wingly is expanding interest in general aviation and we are proud to support the private pilots that are a part of the program,” said Reggie Arsenault, director, Jeppesen General Aviation Client Management. “Our Jeppesen Mobile FliteDeck VFR app provides private pilots with essential charting and flight information that they need to complete their flights and we are now offering special pricing and access for participating Wingly pilots.”

Wingly provides a platform for private pilots to connect with those interested in flying in general aviation aircraft to reach their destinations, engage in discovery flights, or sightsee by air. Pilots and passengers share the cost of operating the flight, in a non-profit environment. As part of the new alliance, Jeppesen will offer discounted or no-cost access to Mobile FliteDeck VFR for top performing Wingly pilots.

“Having the backing of trusted Jeppesen navigation and flight information as part of the Wingly program will help pilots to fly more safely and efficiently,” said Lars Klein, cofounder of Wingly. “We look forward to engaging with Jeppesen on several fronts moving forward, to encourage interest in flight sharing and with general aviation flying from both the pilot and passenger perspective.”
