EASA Approves G1000 For Piper Seneca

Also OKs Installation Of Aspen's EFD1000 Standby PFD

EASA has granted approval to Piper to incorporate the Garmin G1000 avionics suite, as well as the Aspen Avionics EFD1000 Pro Standby primary flight display into new twin-engine Piper Seneca V aircraft.

Piper Aircraft Inc. was one of the first manufacturers to adopt the G1000 software for a three-display avionics suite as standard equipment in the Seneca V. Garmin’s G1000 is a seamlessly integrated all-glass avionics suite that makes flight information easier to scan and process.

“The G1000,with the standard three-display glass screens for the Seneca V, gives pilots rich flight-critical data that provides exceptional situational awareness and contributes to safer flight,” said Piper President and CEO Simon Caldecott. “We are so very pleased to be able to deliver these aircraft now throughout Europe.”

Garmin’s G1000 system offers today’s pilots the most intuitive and advanced technology. Its design brings new levels of situational awareness, simplicity and safety to the cockpit. The G1000 glass cockpit presents flight instrumentation, navigation, weather, terrain, traffic and engine data on large-format, high-resolution displays
