Superior Air Parts Announces New Distributor For North, Central Africa

Superior Air Parts announced earlier this week that it has appointed Aero Engine and Aircraft Services of Sint-Martens-Latem, Belgium as the company’s new distributor for North and Central Africa.

"I am very pleased to make this announcement," explained Timothy T. Archer, President and CEO of Superior Air Parts, Inc. "Aero Engine has been our distributor in Belgium and France since 2005, now they will provide their same high level of product availability and after-sales support to Superior’s customers in North and Central Africa."

"The market for Superior’s line of products... is growing rapidly in Africa," Archer added. "Aero Engine has proven that they have the dedication and product knowledge that our customers are looking for in these emerging regions."

Along with Superior's list of aftermarket replacement parts and components for Lycoming and Teledyne Continental piston engines, Aero Engine will also be the distributor for Superior’s popular XP-Series of experimental engines.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for us," stated Jean-Marie Brisson, Aero Engine and Aircraft Services owner and CEO. "Superior is an industry-leader in the development and manufacturing of new-generation parts for piston aircraft engines and we feel there is great potential for these products in North and Central Africa."

"Because they offer significant performance advantages over comparable engines and the fact that they can run on auto-fuels, the XP-Series engines are becoming extremely popular for sport aviation aircraft in Africa," Archer added.

Based in Coppell, TX, Superior Air Parts, a division of Thielert AG of Germany, also manufactures the new FAA certified Vantage Engine (above).
