 “While legendary World War II aircraft such as the Corsair and P-51 Mustang still were widely flown at the start of the Korean War in 1950, a new age of jets rapidly came to the front lines during that time. It marked a permanent change in aviation technology that will be prominent at Oshkosh this year.”

Source: Part of an explanation by Rick Larsen, EAA’s Vice President of Communities and Member Programs, who coordinates AirVenture features and attractions, as Aircraft of the Korean War Era, which began 75 years ago in 1950 will be on prominent display at this year’s EAA AirVenture Fly-in and Convention at Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH) in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, that runs July 21-27.
