WHOA! USAF F-16 Cut Off During Russian Intercept

Incident In Alaska ADIZ “Dangerous And Unprofessional”

An Air Force F-16 conducting a routine intercept of a Russian Tu-95 off the coast of Alaska and within the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) was cut off by a very close “headbutt” maneuver by a Su-35 fighter. Video and still images show the dramatic incident in what the Air Force called an unsafe encounter and that the Russian aviator’s actions were “unprofessional and endangered all.”

U.S. Air Force Pilot Receives Kolligian Trophy

F-16 Pilot Safely Recovered Aircraft After Engine Failure

U.S. Air Force Capt. Harry “Butcher” McMahon was presented the 2023 Koren Kolligian Jr. Trophy by Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Allvin in a ceremony at the Pentagon on September 26. The trophy is the highest safety achievement award given and is the only individual flight safety award presented personally by the chief of staff.
