During The Takeoff Roll Her Seat Suddenly Slid Backward, And She Was No Longer Able To Reach The Pedals
On July 11, 2024, about 1000 central daylight time, a Grumman AA-5B airplane, N23JK, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident. The pilot and two passengers were not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that before starting the engine, she adjusted her seat to the appropriate position to reach the flight controls, then wiggled the seat to ensure it was secure.
