CBP's P-3 AEW Crews -- These Folks 'Have Our Back'
Day and night, there are a number of heroic people and aviation assets prowling the skies for signs of those that would threaten America in one of many forms. One of those heroic groups is employed by US Customs and Border Protection, or CBP, for short.
There is intense public interest in all of what occurred when a
US Airways A-320 ditched in New York's Hudson River. That being the
case, the National Transportation Safety Board is releasing
additional information about the Board's scheduled public hearing
on the January 2009 ditching of the US Airways A-320 into the
Hudson River.
Says Colgan Pilots Were Not Comfortable With The Airplane
An FAA inspector says he warned the administration more than a
year before a Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 flown by Colgan Air crashed in
Buffalo that the airline was having difficulty flying the
airplane.
United Airlines will negotiate with Boeing and Airbus for an
aircraft order that one industry insider said may call for 150
planes. Both companies were asked this week to submit bids. UAL
Corp., United's parent company, said it may place an order by the
end of the year.
