Noah Fulmor and Erin Finnegan have been together since 2002, but
even before they met, they shared a dream of space travel. As
children, both wanted to be astronauts: Erin attended space camp in
Michigan, while Noah volunteered at his local planetarium. Although
they are currently living relatively earth-bound lives, the idea of
space came up again following their engagement in 2008.
NASA has selected four proposals for research to help understand
space radiation's effects on humans living in space. NASA selected
proposals from the New York University School of Medicine in New
York, the University of Texas Medical Branch in Houston, Loma Linda
University in California and Georgetown University in
Washington.
Space Adventures, Ltd., announced Thursday that Guy
Laliberté, founder of Cirque du Soleil and the ONE DROP
Foundation, has begun training at the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut
Training Center in Star City in preparation for his poetic social
mission to the International Space Station (ISS).
