Boeing announced Tuesday that first flight of the 787 Dreamliner
will be postponed due to a need to reinforce an area within the
side-of-body section of the aircraft.

A team of students from the University of Queensland (Australia)

Bourget Air Show. The "COz" team used of the castor plant to
develop the first ever single plant-based high performance
composite materials for aircraft cabin components.
The NTSB has released a preliminary report for a runway
incursion incident, in which a construction vehicle crossed an
active runway at Boston's Logan International Airport as a
USAirways Airbus A320 was on its takeoff roll.

ATA is reporting that passenger revenue fell 26 percent in May
2009 versus the same month in 2008 – the seventh consecutive
month in which passenger revenue has fallen from the prior
year.
AerCap Holdings announced Monday that it has signed letters of
intent with Virgin Atlantic Airways for the purchase and leaseback
of six Airbus A330-300s that Virgin Atlantic has on order with
Airbus. In addition, AerCap will lease four Airbus A330-300
aircraft to Virgin Atlantic from its own A330 order.
