Iberia Airlines recently initiated revenue service with a flight from Madrid to Paris with the first use of an Airbus A321XLR powered by LEAP engines manufactured by CFM of Cincinnati, Ohio. CFM is a 50-50 joint venture company between GE Aerospace and Safran Aircraft Engines of Courcouronnes, France.

Airline Continues Investment to Sustainable Aviation Fuel

Though we got a sneak peek of it last month, United Airlines has formally introduced the new sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) livery for its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. This continues the carrier’s investment in reducing emissions of commercial air transportation. The Dreamliner, registered N24988, took its maiden flight on October 20 in Charleston, South Carolina.
