Will Build Next-Generation French Military Communications Satellite
Airbus Defense and Space, the world’s second largest space company, has been awarded the contractorship by the French defence procurement agency (DGA) for one of two military satellites for the COMSAT NG secure telecommunications program. Airbus Defense and Space will also be co-responsible, together with Thales Alenia Space (lead contractor), for the entire space program.
Composite Hardware To Be Used Aboard Atlas V, Delta IV Rocket Launches Through Approximately 2021
Orbital ATK has been awarded a contract from United Launch Alliance (ULA) for large-size composite structures to be used for the Atlas V and Delta IV vehicles in support of the current United States Air Force Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicles (EELV) programs. During the contract scope, Orbital ATK will produce large composite structures for ULA, with deliveries commencing in 2016 and continuing into early 2019.
