The Academy of Model Aeronautics is recommending that its members wait to register their model airplanes, saying the new rule contradicts the carveout for model aircraft in the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012.

Releases GAO Report On Way To Respond To Global Health Crises
Rep. Rick Larsen (D-WA) has released a GAO report that details ways the U.S. aviation system can more effectively respond to epidemics and other global health crises. Larsen requested that the Government Accountability Office study the preparedness of U.S. airports and airlines to handle the spread of an infectious disease during the emergence of the Ebola virus last fall.
