Vast, the Long Beach, California, -based space habitation technology company, unveiled Haven-2, its proposed successor to the International Space Station (ISS) at the 75th International Astronautical Congress being held in Milan, Italy. NASA is planning to retire the ISS by 2030 and has begun its Commercial Low Earth Orbit Destination (CLD) program. The agency anticipates selecting its Phase 2 winners in 2026, and Vast is determined to secure this prestigious contract to build the successor to the ISS.
