Delta Connection Flight Stopped By Flight Attendant Fight

Argument Prompted Captain To Cancel Trip

Delta Connection Flight 887 was cancelled on Thursday after a fight between two female flight attendants.  The ROC-ATL flight, operated by Pinnacle Airlines, was taxiing back to the gate when the incident occurred.

Joe Williams, a Pinnacle Airlines spokesman told the Associated Press the spat erupted just the aircraft was returning to the gate Thursday morning after a passenger became ill.  Williams says there was no physical contact and doesn't know the reason for what he termed a "verbal disagreement."

Cable news station YNN talked to passengers that were displaced by the sudden cancellation.  Corey Minton said he and others aboard were told they had to "get off the plane because stewardesses were fighting." Another passenger complained "we've got flight attendants arguing and fighting on the plane!"

As another winter storm started impacting flights along the East coast, some passengers were worried that they would be stuck in Rochester.  One traveler was on the way to get married in Cancun while others were in danger of missing a non-refundable cruise.

Both of the flight attendants were removed from duty while Pinnacle investigates the incident.  Williams says Delta found alternate travel plans for passengers.
