Gulfstream To Upgrade Wisconsin Facility

$55-Million Appleton Expansion to Bring Over Two-Hundred New Jobs

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has announced it is investing more than $55-million in its Appleton, WI, facility.

The move is the latest in a series of expansions that have seen the Savannah, GA company erect new facilities in Fort Worth, TX and Mesa, AZ while supplementing its customer support call center in Farnborough, England.

The business-jet powerhouse also announced plans to hire more than 200 engineers, mechanics, avionics technicians, and highly skilled trade and craftspeople to populate the growing, Appleton operation.

The expansions reflect continuing demand for Gulfstream aircraft and bode well for the entirety of the aerospace industry.

Gulfstream President Mark Burns states,“Gulfstream continues to make significant investments across the company to address both current demand and future growth in our completions and Customer Support operations … The investment in our Appleton facility is a key part of our overall strategy to provide our customers with industry leading completions and support worldwide.”

Vice President of completions L.D. Buerger adds, “We are excited about this expansion and the opportunity to recruit and hire new talent to join the Gulfstream team at our Appleton facility.”

To facilitate hiring, Gulfstream will host a job fair in Appleton on 09 June 9 2022, from 12:30 to 16:30 at its facility at N687 Discovery Drive.

When completed, the 73,000-square-foot [6,782-square-meter] Appleton facility will comprise a proprietary paint-booth design developed by Gulfstream in conjunction with Wisconsin-based paint booth manufacturer, Global Finishing Solutions. The new facility will have the capability to paint up to 48 aircraft per year, and will allow Gulfstream to perform the entire aircraft completions process in Appleton.

In addition to the paint and completions upgrades, Gulfstream intends to provision the Appleton facility with a new office area for completions customers and pilots, a new wood finishing area, an upgraded shipping and receiving area, and a completions hangar featuring an employee entrance, break-room, and lockers.
