Buys Out NBAA’s Interest In Production

The European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) jointly announced that EBAA has purchased NBAA’s interest in the European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (EBACE). With the purchase, all future editions of the EBACE, including EBACE2025, will be produced solely by EBAA. The financial terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

It was a beautiful day for the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team’s first ever air show performance at the Pikes Peak Regional Air Show at Colorado Springs Airport (KCOS) in Colorado. However, some guests either lost track of or disregarded admonitions from show organizers to stay hydrated as air temperatures hovered in the low-mid 90s F for most of the day. And down on the ramp it was probably over 100o F in the afternoon. Close to 100 people were treated by emergency personnel and 10 had to be transported to a nearby hospital for illness related to the heat.

Program Delays Pushed Back Delivery Of Sikorsky VH-92A

President Joe Biden finally got to take his first flight aboard the new Marine One, a Sikorsky-built VH-92A helicopter, also known as “White Top” for its distinctive livery. Biden boarded the helicopter for the maiden presidential flight at O’Hare International Airport (KORD) in Chicago, Illinois, and was flown to the parking lot at Soldier Field, an oft-used landing zone for presidential travel in the Windy City. The President then spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Monday August 19.

Hold-In-Lieu Of Procedure Turn A hold-in-lieu of procedure turn shall be established over a final or intermediate fix when an approach can be made from a properly aligned holding pattern.
