Recent Master Instructor Designations Officially 'Grandfathered'

New Master Instructor Program Off To Running Start

If there was any doubt as to the continuity of those working their way from the old NAFI-oriented master instructor program to that now being administered by Sandy & JoAnn Hill -- who created it -- those doubts would seem to be dissipating.

Master Instructors, LLC, tells ANN that, "We are pleased to announce that all Master Instructors whose initial or renewal portfolios were reviewed on or before January 24th, 2009 by JoAnn Hill, Sandy Hill, Rich Stowell, Cleon Biter, Ron Galbraith, Cliff Chetwin or Lonnie Hilkemeier have been grandfathered. Their designations are now recognized by Master Instructors LLC, the international Master Instructor accrediting authority.  Such accreditations are also being recognized by the FAA as well as many industry organizations including the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE)."

All renewing Masters will receive a new Master Instructors LLC plaque without additional charge (shown below). In addition, dozens of "mid-cycle" Masters (MCFIs, MGIs & MCFI-As) have asked to purchase new plaques prior to their regular renewal date. Everyone will all be advised as soon as these logistics have been resolved.

The newly revised application packet for MI LLC's FAA-approved Master Instructor Continuing Education Program™ along with their two-year letter of authorization (LOA) from the FAA are now posted in the "Downloads" section on the Master Instructors web site
