China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings Limited (CALC) has named Russell Hubbard as SVP – Sales & Marketing, effective on 5 September. He will be based out of CALC’s Dublin office, responsible for contributing to the Group’s overall globalization strategy and increasing the breadth and depth of its full-value chain aircraft solutions.

In a news release, the company said Hubbard is "a seasoned professional who brings three decades of experience and demonstrated success in aircraft remarketing, trading and acquisitions." He has represented banks, leasing companies and airlines at board level on major transactions and asset procurement projects. He also has extensive experience in aircraft value appraisals and previously oversaw an aircraft valuation appraisal team. Russ joins CALC from Avation, where he was Global Head of Aircraft Trading. Prior to this, he headed the global trading team of Hong Kong Aviation Capital and was head of operations and chief commercial officer of Global Aviation Asset Management (GAAM).

“With our vision of making CALC a full-value chain aircraft solutions provider with a worldwide presence, Russ’ intimate knowledge of the aviation industry and global market will be our valuable assets for enhancing CALC’s strategic positioning in the international field, furthering CALC's commitment to growth as a world-class aircraft solution provider,” said Ms. Winnie Liu, Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of CALC.
