Drone Pilot Licenses Are The Advantage For Visage

Film Production Company Requires FAA Certification For Its Operators

Drones are breathing new life and possibilities into the film business. Among the many new developments, film production and its costs are more contained because of the technology. Visage Production, Inc. and the CEO, Annette D. Colbert-Latham, are using this advantage to strategically partner with federal and state agencies as well as major corporations.

"As with any new technology, it moves quickly," said Colbert-Latham. "You have to jump in and claim your stake in it." The U.S. Small Business Administration developed the UAS Cluster Initiative, with which Visage is now pursuing inclusion. "When I looked into the many markets drones are used in - competitive industries such as construction, real estate, oil and gas - I knew we were in the right lane." All contractors at Visage received drone pilot training and will be licensed as pilots as well.

"Working with drone manufacturers and placement with their companies will help us to fly higher," Colbert-Latham said. "With the assistance of the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Division, Visage received an invitation to the Aerospace Meetings Brazil with aerospace attendees in São José dos Campos, Brazil. Ashley Wilson from the Oklahoma Division worked with Visage over the past 5 years to help identify and locate strategic partnerships.

The upcoming event will bring together over 250 companies from 24 countries to meet in Brazil from December 5-7. OEMs and prime contractors such as Airbus, Alenia, Aermacchi, Alestis, Boeing, Bombardier, Eaton, Embraer, Helibras, Latecoere, Liebherr Aerospace, Parker Hannifin, Rockwell Collins, Rolls Royce, SAAB, SAFRAN, Sonaca, and Zodiac will be in attendance.
