Australian Pilot Spells Out 'I'm Bored' In The Sky

Was Conducting A Two-Hour Test Flight All At A Single Speed

A pilot in Australia apparently felt his two-hour test flight on an airplane being prepared for sale was not the most exciting flight he'd ever conducted.

FlightAware captured his track that was reportedly dozens of kilometers long which spelled out "I'm Bored" in the sky. It was not noticeable by anyone on the ground, but was clear from the recorded track.

The flight was conducted in a "single engine airplane" over Adelaide in South Australia at a constant speed between about 9:00 a.m. and noon local time. He's only been identified as a "young pilot" by local media and the company for which he works, according to Adelaide Now.

The director of Flight Training Adelaide said it's not likely he'll be disciplined for the flight. "Apparently he got bored," Pine Pienaar said, adding "Young instructors, what can you do?"
