GlobalParts.Aero Oklahoma Site To Partner With Turbine Aircraft Services

Two Facilities Located At Wiley Post Airport Offer Customers Convenience And Cost Advantages On Component Replacement

GlobalParts Aero Structures located on Wiley Post Airport in Bethany, Oklahoma has announced an agreement with its neighbor on the same field, Turbine Aircraft Services (TAS), to provide convenient, cost-efficient inlet repair and replacement services for a broad list of aircraft customers ranging from Bombardier Challengers and Learjets to Textron Cessna, Hawker and Beechcraft jets. The arrangement is a logical one for the two organizations, since both GlobalParts and TAS have long histories and experience working with the OEMs. GlobalParts is a world leading supplier of aircraft parts and recently added the capability to manufacture many of the engine inlets parts and sub-assemblies for Cessna, Hawker and Learjet business jet models at its Bethany facility.

Turbine Aircraft Services offers a complete line of maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Bombardier Challenger and Learjet and Textron Beechjet, Hawker and Cessna Citation products, as well. Providing repair and replacement of engine inlets has been a part of their ongoing service in the past—“but it just got a lot easier and more convenient and certainly more efficient for customers,” noted Steve Farber, Director of Operations-Manufacturing & Structures at the GlobalParts Bethany site. “It’s a ‘win-win’ situation for both of us. We can obviously utilize our fabrication capabilities to meet their specific needs in a timely manner and they can virtually eliminate lead times and shipping expense for customers who are, of course, anxious to get their airplanes back into the air.”

“We were very humbled to be approached by a highly respected company such as GlobalParts,” stated Bryson Pogson, Director of Business Development for TAS. “We are very excited to be able to offer this service to a broad range of clientele and feel we add another complementary piece to the wide ranging capabilities of the GlobalParts Aero Structures team here at Wiley Post Airport.”

Global Parts Aero Structures is also expanding its composite repair capabilities. The company was acquired by GlobalParts.aero in 2013. Its business legacy includes the repair, overhaul, exchange, and sale of jet parts for commercial, military, and corporate aircraft as well as the manufacture of wing and empennage components, metallic and composite fairings nacelle components, and landing gear, crew, passenger, and baggage/cargo doors. In addition, the company has provided engineering and inspection services.
