Despite the fact that this project is turning out to be an incredible amount of work, the ANN crew is growing increasingly excited at the prospects for the upcoming 'Affordable Flying Expo' -- to be held on the hallowed grounds of the SUN n FUN Aerospace Expo campus... one of the best sport aviation facilities in the known universe. Those disappointed by the loss of both the Sebring and DeLand sport aviation fly-ins can rest easy now that the Affordable Flying Expo is finally and officially on the books for November 6-8 of 2025.

Volocopter filed an application for insolvency in the Karlsruhe Local Court on December 26, 2024, while also announcing the need for new financing within the next eight weeks to save the all-electric air taxi project. The court initiated the insolvency proceedings the next day and appointed Tobias Wahl as its administrator.

Mainstay At Lunken Field Expands Education And Services

Flamingo Air announced it has acquired 17 hangars from Air Tolin Inc. at Cincinnati Municipal Airport-Lunken Field (KLUK) in Ohio. The purchase greatly expands Flamingo’s footprint at the airport it’s been based at since 1992 and includes a 92,000 square foot facility with tens of thousands of aircraft parts, a wide range of tools and testing and metalworking equipment.

Airplane Departed The Right Side Of The Runway Onto Grass, Crossed A Taxiway, Hit A Ditch And A Taxiway Sign Which Collapsed The Nose Landing Gear

On November 28, 2024, about 1019 eastern standard time, a Beech B300, N907EJ, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Franklin, North Carolina. The airline transport pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14?Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot stated that prior to departure he exercised ground fine pitch of the propeller blades to allow for normal deceleration while taxiing and both worked, “…perfectly fine and in tandem.”
