Russian law officers have arrested two people they believe were
involved in the bombing of two Tupelov jetliners last month. The
Russian Itar-Tass news agency identified one of the men as
Krasnodar resident Armen Arutyunov, who is thought to be an airline
ticket reseller.
Piper's Mark Miller tells ANN that, "New Piper Aircraft is
working quickly and diligently to repair damage caused by Hurricane
Frances and expects to resume delivery of aircraft by the beginning
of next week (the week of September 13) and parts shipments by the
end of that week."
Brian Feeney and his volunteer team has been working nonstop to
ready their Wild Fire Mk VI X-Prize contender for a scheduled
October 2 launch attempt, but they still have several key hardware
and administrative issues that need to be completed. On the
administrative side, insurance to cover launch liability has yet to
be secured and the Canadian Government has not granted permission
for the launch from Kindersley, Saskatchewan.

A NASA landmark is battered but still standing after Hurricane
Frances threw her blustery best at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on
Cape Canaveral, the launch pad of the US manned spaceflight program
and many other American space ventures.
Two C-130 crews from the 38th Airlift Squadron at Ramstein Air
Base, Germany, flew medical and humanitarian supplies into
Vladikavkaz, Russia, Monday -- a humanitarian gesture to the
victims of the Beslan school shootings.
Damage to hangars and aircraft at Florida's St. Lucie
International Airport could reach $40 million in the wake of
Hurricane Frances. Palm Beach County officials called the damage
"catastrophic," saying private tenants suffered the most.

NASA's Genesis spacecraft crossed the orbit of the Moon early

premieres Thursday, Sept. 23, at 2000 (Eastern Time).
Cessna Aircraft Company has released Class A Terrain Awareness
and Warning System (TAWS) Service Bulletins for a broad spectrum of
the Citation fleet (525 Citation CJ Mark V and Mark VIII; 550
Citation Bravo Mark VII and VIII; 560 Citation Ultra Mark VIII; 550
Citation II Mark VIII; and 650 Citation VII). Service Bulletins for
Sandel Class A and Class B solutions will be available in
October.
"Clearly our preparations were based on the plan to evacuate any
plane that could fly. With the storm being downgraded, I expected a
lot less damage than we had. I'm very shocked at the amount of
damage we sustained."
