FAA Restricts Drone Company After Florida Show Incident

7-Year-Old Was Hit By a Falling Drone and Taken Into Open-Heart Surgery

The Federal Aviation Administration has placed numerous restrictions on Texas-based drone company Sky Elements after a 7-year-old boy was injured at one of their airshows. He was struck by at least one drone at the event and taken into open-heart surgery. The Holiday Drone Show, held at Lake Eola Park, took place on December 21 at 6:30 pm.

On December 29, a Jeju Air Boeing 737-800 performed a gear-up landing and slid into a wall -- inexplicably placed right off the end of a runway. Pilot Switched The Fuel Selector Valve From The Left To The Right Wing Tank And A Few Seconds Later The Engine Lost Power

On December 1, 2024, about 1300 mountain standard time, a Beech 35-33, N109V, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Willcox, Arizona. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal  Regulations Part 91 personal flight. The pilot reported that after practicing steep turns and stalls, he descended to 7,200 ft mean sea level to practice GPS approach procedures at the Cochise County Airport (P33), Willcox, Arizona.
