Slovakia-based developer Klein Vision recently unveiled the production-model prototype of its flying car. If all goes to plan, the AirCar will hit the market in early 2026. The AirCar is the outcome of more than a decade of work from Klein Vision co-founders Stefan Klein and Anton Zajac. The company was officially established in 2017 and had its first flying car prototype in the air by 2021. Iowa’s Marion Airport (C17) is being temporarily saved in a $500,000 runway sale, representing less than a third of the city’s original purchase. The new owner, 530 Investments LLC, will be required to maintain the runway for at least the next 10 years. City officials purchased the Marion runway and its FBO more than a decade ago for a hefty $1.67 million.

During An Aerial Application Flight, The Engine Lost Power And The Airplane Began To Descend

Analysis: The pilot reported that, during an aerial application flight, the engine lost power and the airplane began to descend. He added full power and pushed the propeller control full forward, but did not feel the engine respond and the airplane continued to descend. After he dumped the hopper tank, he still was not able to stop the airplane’s descent, and the airplane touched down in the field and continued through a cattle fence, resulting in substantial damage to the fuselage and left wing.

ANN's Daily Aero-Term (05.12.25): Execute Missed Approach

Execute Missed Approach Instructions issued to a pilot making an instrument approach which means continue inbound to the missed approach point and execute the missed approach procedure as described on the Instrument Approach Procedure Chart or as previously assigned by ATC. The pilot may climb immediately to the altitude specified in the missed approach procedure upon making a missed approach. No turns should be initiated prior to reaching the missed approach point. When conducting an ASR or PAR approach, execute the assigned missed approach procedure immediately upon receiving instructions to “execute missed approach.”
